Our first trip to Mexico!

Let' s go shopping Mady!
My little "B" (from "da B" her name for herself as a baby) came over Saturday night! Her mommy was all dressed up for her Aunt's (Aunty Jan Jan) parent's night. She is graduating! Congrats Aunty Jan Jan!

Mady get to stay with me! Overnight! Thats us! Getting ready for a big day in Chetumal tomorrow, our closest city with some kind of shopping although very limited and a bit backwards.

We danced and played all night in Mady's new room! No pictures yet as it's not fit for the princess just yet.

Sunday Morning - Father's Day. I got to wake up next to my little BungaD, a terrific Father's Day gift. We got all our stuff together and walked over to Maya Island Air. MJ was excited to see the "Maya Airplanes"

We got our tickets are are ready for the little flight over Northern Belize to the argicultural town of Corozal.

The flight was a little scary. We've been having bad weather for a few days, more like a week and last night was the worst of it. Needless to say the flight was delayed and then we had to fly on the little twin engine Islander, at least they say it's the safest in the fleet. (so which one is the least safest?

Let's go! Mady went from really excitied to anxious to scared to "I'm with Daddy, he'll take care of me"........

Hello Corozal! Mady enjoyed riding in a car, on paved streets, yes I did too. It's nice to get off the cobblestones every once in a while. We made a straight shot to the border of Belize and Mexico, a placed called Santa Elena, about 11 miles from the airstrip. First up, Immigration, no worries, everyone loved my little celebrity eye candy and sent us on our way to change some Belize funny money into PESOS! More funny money, but it works here in Mexico!
Mexico is chaning so fast, almost like a 1st world nation. Nice highways and yes - the all American fast food love affair. Seeing we eat pretty darn healthy on the beach, we made a pit stop in Burger King. Mady only ate her fried and not the chicken scraps formed into nuggets, how disgusting, I ate those (ha ha) and they did taste like chicken. Mady seemed to enjoy the fries. She had to take them one by one out of the fries bag and put them into her happy meal box then ea them until she filled her mouth and then spit a wad of soggy spit soaked fries into my hand. Time to go hit the jungle gym!

I always wanted MJ to be able to climb around in one of these things. Living on the beach in the 3rd world is great but we don't have a lot of playground stuff for the kids. So I was excited to see how she would react UNTIL.......this kid came out of the slide covered in scabs and a runny nose. OMG! My first reaction was to look around and say to myself, "Where are this sick child's parent's and why he is on this public piece of equipment!?" As I turned to grab Mady away from this germ factory she was inside the beast! Am I a paranoid father? No way, I'm cool right? But this is where the Swine Flu came from. Mady!!!! Where are you?
Yes, that's me daughter, the one with no shoes on and now no pants. I'm not sure why they were both a bit too big but she seemed very content crawling around in her bare feet and underwear. My little white krufy. Waiting anxiously below this 30 foot monstrosity I found myself calling her name every few minutes and noticing that wires are hooked up to this thing. If there is something that can be broken, trust me, MJ will find it. Every once in while she would anwer me, most of the time not. I had to send a little Mexican boy in for her pants and shoes. Ha Ha! No, not the one with open sores! The parents seemed concerned for me which made it a bit more nerve wracking for me sitting underneath this thing helpess. MJ could stay up there all day. I did try to climb in, for many reasons, but I was too big! Damn Whey Protein! Every few minutes I would see some little hands and feet scury past a clear section of the maze. But wait, now I hear something clanking, oh lawd, what did MJ find up there? FINALLY she found the down tube and crawled down the slide, crawled, on her belly. Nice. Excuse me, does anyone had a tub of bleach handy? I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon. Hope you liked it MJ!

Ok, now across to "The Mall" or what kinda resembles a US shopping center. My stupid bank didn't allow me to go crazy so we opted for some Prada's for Daddy (Prada or Nada MJ, remeber that) and a Tinky Bell back back for Mady. Rockin' it, we are. So after doing a little mall walk and getting some ice cream we had to hit up the Merry-Go-Round, an MJ favorite. We ended our mall experience and headed for Sam's Club or as they say her Sam's Clooob. ;)
Sam's was ok, I renewed my card and MJ was getting tired. She got to ride in the cart and Daddy was tired so didn't take too many pictures. It was a bit cute seeing nothing but her little eyes peering out of a over stuffed cart of clothes, wine, food, toys, etc.......BUT NEEDLESS TO SAY.....the credit card gods were not with me. The same card I used to renew my Sam's card wouldn't let me buy my stuff. Thank you Bank of America. At least the exercise was fun. So I felt like I bought a bunch of stuff but I didn't.....so I guess I saved some money. Too bad, I had a lot of cool stuff for Mady n' Me and those who we love. Next time. After about 30 minutes on the phone with BofA I gave up and we wen't back to Belize to catch "d maya airplane" home to see Mommmy.

Today was a good day.

I lub u 2 d moon Mady.

Beach blessings,
